The joke is easy.
The research matters.

There’s more to a TV than its last frame. Here are the questions we want to investigate—and how we’ll separate evidence from assumptions.

A / REPAIR

Fix it or
replace it?

What information helps people assess repair options? We plan to examine parts, repair access, and the limits of broad cost comparisons.

Planned research
B / ACCESS

Accepted.
Except when…

How do TV type, size, damage, fees, and location affect the options a program offers? A directory needs to capture the details.

Planned research
C / AFTERLIFE

After the
drop-off.

What can we verify about collection and downstream processing? We plan to distinguish a collection claim from evidence of a final outcome.

Our intended standard

Show the source.
Leave the gaps visible.

Research articles will identify their sources, dates, geographic scope, and important limitations. Questions and estimates will be labeled. A claim about all electronics won’t quietly become a claim about televisions.

These are editorial commitments for future work. They aren’t a claim that a full research archive or verification program is already complete.
